Limón Weekend Intensives 2017

Limón Dance Company’s Artistic Director Colin Connor leads two intensive weekends of Limón Technique, Repertory and Performance Techniques.  Joining Colin are company members David Glista, Savannah Spratt and Mark Willis – see Savannah and Mark perform at Bryant Park Presents on Friday July 7, 6pm.  

The intensives provide rigorous training and explore the principles of the Limón movement philosophy. Technique classes demand playful yet specific use of weight, opposition, fall and recovery, musicality and expressive gesture. Repertory will focus on elements of Limón’s rhythmic master works. Performance technique sessions will investigate the contrasting physical and expressive elements fiound in current repertory works.

The intensives offer new material each day, working at a fast-pace: dancers must be aged over 18 years old and work at Intermediate level or above.

The Weekend Intensives are located in our Harlem home, the Everett Center for the Performing Arts.

Daily Schedule:
10:00 – 11:45 Limón Technique
12:00 – 1:15 Limón Repertory
2:00 – 4:00 Repertory and Performance Techniques

Weekend One and Two – $210
Weekend One only – $115
Weekend Two only – $115
Single Day – $60
*Drop-in Technique classes – $12 single class (cash only)
