Mariah Gravelin (Norwich, CT) began dancing at the age of three at Eastern Connecticut Ballet. It was there, under the guidance and direction of Lise Reardon and Gloria Govrin, where she received her formal ballet, jazz, and modern dance training. At ECB, she had the opportunity to perform works by George Balanchine and José Limón. She continued to receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program, graduating in the Spring of 2018. During her time at The Ailey School, she had the honor of performing works by Alvin Ailey, José Limón, and Paul Taylor. She has spent her summers at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Ballet X, and Paul Taylor. Additionally, Mariah has worked with choreographers Florian Lochner, Kanji Segawa, Elizabeth Roxas, Darshan Bhuller, Brice Mousset, and Mary Ann Lamb, among others. She joined the Limón Dance Company as an apprentice in the Winter of 2019 and was promoted to the Company in the Summer of 2019. This is her second season with Limón. She spends her time offstage as a freelance photographer in NYC and CT.
